Dr. Conrad Bosire
Experience
Dr. Conrad M. Bosire is a lawyer by training and has experience in the areas of law, governance, democracy, and development and has worked in the academia, civil society, and various public institutions, locally and abroad. Dr. Bosire’s specific expertise is in multi-level systems of governance (federalism, devolution and decentralisation), as well as in the areas of judicial reform and justice systems.
Dr. Bosire was the Chief of Staff in the Kenya Judiciary from 2018-2021 and the Acting Executive Director of the National Council on the Administration of Justice (NCAJ) during the same period. Previously, Dr. Bosire was the Director of Research at the Katiba Institute in Nairobi. Dr. Bosire holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Law) from the University of the Western Cape, a post-graduate diploma in federalism and devolution from the Institute of Federalism at the University of Fribourg in Switzerland, a Master of Laws (LLM) in Human Rights and Democratisation from the University of Pretoria, and a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from Moi University.
Dr. Bosire is currently an adjunct lecturer at Strathmore Law School and an independent consultant.
