Experience

Patrick is the Executive Director at Responsible Business Institute Africa. He has studied for Bachelor of Laws, Master of Science in Management and Organization Development and Executive Master on Business and Human Rights. In addition to Post Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice, he has also undertaken training on corporate governance, business and human rights and project management.

Patrick is an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya, an Arthur Helton Fellow, a Youth on Sustainability Alumni, a Member of the East Africa Law Society Business and Human Rights Committee and a Member of the Law Society of Kenya Public Interest Legal Aid and Human Rights Committee. He also sits in the Boards of various Charities, including Daraja Kenya Initiative, Kijani Institute and i5 Children Centre.

Patrick has more than 15 years’ experience working in the legal and development sector. He has worked with Advocates for International Development (A4ID) as Consultant Project Lead – Africa coordinating A4ID’s access to justice and rule of law projects in Africa. He has been instrumental in engaging the legal community in East Africa on business and human rights. Patrick has been a key speaker and part of panel of experts on business and human rights in various regional level events. Patrick has also previously worked with Africa Office of Raoul Wallenberg Institute of Human Rights, Kenya National Commission on Human Rights and as a Partner in a Leading Commercial Law Firm.
